Newsletter sign-ups

When you sign up for the newsletter we store:

your email address;
the date and time you signed up, the page you were on and which sign-up box you used;
the wording you agreed to when you signed up, as a record of your consent.

We use this only to send you The Billion View Club newsletter, which you asked for. The legal basis is your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). We never sell or share your email address.

Sign-ups are stored in Google Cloud Firestore in London (europe-west2). Google acts as our data processor. When the newsletter launches we may use an email delivery service to send it; this notice will be updated to name it before any email is sent.

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and then delete it within 30 days.

Your rights

You can withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time, using the link in every email or by writing to privacy@thebillionviewclub.com. You can also ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be corrected or deleted. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Browsing the site

The site uses no cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. It remembers in your browser's local storage whether you have closed the newsletter box or already signed up, so it does not ask again. That note never leaves your device.

Video thumbnails are loaded from YouTube's image servers and fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google to fetch them. A YouTube player (in privacy-enhanced mode) loads only when you press play.
